Hunting
Most of this area is located in the epic “2G” Wildlife Management Unit. Known up and down the east coast, we have some of the largest bucks, and the tallest “deer tales” in the state. How big was that buck you shot last year?
Float Down The River
Blow up your inner tube, or grab a float and sit back, letting the river be your guide. Floating down the lazy Susquehanna River is easy when you enter from the boat launch in Renovo. Relax with friends, or go it alone!
Fishing
With the Susquehanna River at your back door, or Kettle Creek just up the road, we are always teaming with trout if you are an avid angler. You never know what you’ll catch in these waters!
Hang Gliding

Whether you participate in the sport, or just like to watch, nothing is really comparable to watching people jumping (and gliding) off of
Hyner Mountain. The sport has really taken off since it was first announced that hang gliding would begin here in 1975. Just be sure to check in with
DCNR for authorization first before you jump!
Hiking
Did you know we have some of the most remote woods and hiking trails in Pennsylvania? Lace up those boots and hit the trail in our woods. New trails are being considered all the time!
Bird Watching
If it is birds you seek, you shall see quite a few in our neck of the woods. The local state parks put on birding excursions and events annually, and you just may see a bald eagle…or two…flying around the river looking for its next meal!
Mountain and Motor Biking
Yes, there are mountain and motor bike trails around us! Check out any of the local state parks or forests for details on trailheads and scenic vistas.
Hyner Challenge or other Race Series
Growing in popularity every year, the
Hyner Challenge or any of the other race series events take place here in the early spring and throughout the year. Here, hundreds of competitors take to the woods to find clarity, get a great workout, or just run for the sake of running.
Find a New Restaurant
With no chain restaurants to be found in the Renovo area, you can expect to find some good ol’ fashioned “down home cooking.” Enjoy a meal with friends, or stop by for a burger or a cheesesteak at any of our local restaurants. There isn’t much that you won’t like when you come by for a meal. And chat with a local…we’re friendly!
Susquehanna Grains & Grapes Trail

The newly created
Susquehanna Grains and Grapes Trail is a driving tour of six local breweries and wineries with the majority of them to be found in Clinton County. There just happens to be one right here in the Renovo area at Good Neighbor Craft House. Be sure to pick up your passport and begin working your way towards winning a gift card to your location of choice (if you’re chosen as the quarterly winner!)
